THE YOUNG SCIENTIST OF AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES TOOK PART IN AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN BULGARIA
The colleague of Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of ANAS, Ph.D. Valeh Alakbarov has participated and made a speech on the subject of "Experience and the birth of modern Science" in an international conference which held in South-West University Neofit Rilski in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. In the framework of the Research Project Knowledge Exchange and Academic Cultures in the Humanities: Europe and the Black Sea Region, late 18th – 21st Centuries”, funded by the "European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement".
In his speech, the scientist talked about the role of ancient societies in the formation of modern science, based on archaeological researches, has shown the formation of initial embryos of the science in various fields were related to early farming culture that has been proven by archeological evidence. The author noted that people's moving into sedentary occupations increased the need to meet their daily life, early simple technological innovations were achieved by necessity. These, in turn, necessitated the subsequent scientific and technological development as the communities improved and gained experience become an important factor on the base of all these.
In addition, the researcher made a speech about the archaeological research conducted in Azerbaijan in the twentieth century and emphasized that international archaeological excavations, which fully meets the requirements of modern science in the last decade, laid the foundation for a new stage in the study of the region's Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic and Bronze Age cultures. He also informed the conference participants about the international archaeological investigations that were carried out by the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS in cooperation with a number of leading scientific institutions of the world in the Karabakh and Tovuz regions of Azerbaijan Republic.
After all, Valeh Alakbarov's speech was met with sympathy and discussions were held on the subject and the questions were answered.
