CHAIRMAN OF THE BULGARIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES VISITED THE INSTITUTE OF ARCHEOLOGY AND ETHNOGRAPHY
ANAS Institute of Archeology and Ethnography held a meeting was with the delegation headed by the chairman of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), academician Julian Revalski. The delegation included the Deputy Chairman of the NSA, Professor Vasil Nikolov, the senior scientific adviser of the institution, Professor Evdokia Pasheva and the Deputy Mayor of Sofia, Doctor of Philosophy in Archeology Todor Chobanov.
Director of the research institution, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Maisa Rahimova spoke about the wide use of advanced technologies in the latest archaeological research conducted on the territory of republic, archaeological excavations conducted in our country, revealed rich samples of material culture, successes achieved in this field and projects, implemented by the institute. M.Rahimova stressed importance of the signed memorandum between the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography and the National Archaeological Institute of the BAS, for future joint work of scientists of the two institutions.
Academician Julian Revalski said that, necessary support will be provided for joint research and exchange of experience between archaeologists and ethnologists of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. After the meeting, the BAS delegation got acquainted with the museum-exhibition hall of the Institute. Head of the Department of Scientific Exposition, Ph.D. in History Farhad Guliyev informed the guests about the results of the latest scientific works, as well as about the exhibits.
Note that, the meeting was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria Nargiz Gurbanova, academician-secretary of the Department of Social Sciences, academician Nargiz Akhundova and head of the Department for Relations with Academic Structures of Foreign Countries Bunyamin Seidov.
