On May 23, 2024, the head of the “Registration and passporting of monuments” department of the Institute of Archeology and Anthropology of ANAS, associate professor Mikayil Mustafayev, director of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ayrat Gabitovich Sitdikov, together with the director of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, met on the spot in the territory of Bilasuvar region,discussed the state of archaeological monuments.

Firstly, he was received by the executive head of Bilasuvar district, Faig Gurbatov, and talks were held about the state of archaeological monuments in the region and new plans were negotiated.

During the meeting, Ayrat Gabitovich noted that from July of this year, a summer school will be organized between the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Institute of Archeology and Anthropology of ANAS. Agdam town, Shahriyar castle, Shahriyar settlement and Agdam castle will be prepared, and geodesic and exploratory archaeological tests will be conducted. The importance of researching the mentioned monuments as a complex and starting this process was brought to attention, they got acquainted with the materials.

For this part,the executive head Faig Gurbatov emphazised that he is ready to support the archaeologists in this case.

During the visit,with Ayrat Gabitovich, the archaeological site of the Alisha fortress, was inspected which located in the village of Alasha,Astara region.
