A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Institute of Archeology and Anthropology and Hamilton College.

On June 12, the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and Hamilton College of the USA signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the continuation of international archaeological research and excavation works in the Late Iron Age archaeological monuments,located in the South Eastern mountainous areas of the Republic of Azerbaijan, around Lerik and Yardimli districts.
Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in History, Associate Professor Farhad Guliyev welcomed the guest and emphasized that mutual cooperation is important for both parties.
The memorandum reflects the conditions for conducting general and joint programs, projects and joint scientific
researches for the study of a number of scientific problems of the parties.
It should be noted that,the head of the international expedition on the Azerbaijani side is Jeyhun Eminli, and on the American side is Hannah Lau.
