Director of the ANAS Institute of Archeology and Anthropology, Doctor of Philosophy in History, Associate Professor Farhad Guliyev was elected a corresponding member of the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) located in Berlin. This was reported in the official congratulatory letter signed by Professor Dr. Svend Hansen, the head of the Eurasian Department of the German Archaeological Institute, the Institute’s Executive Director for Departments and Commissions, and it was stated that F. Guliyev will soon be invited to the presentation ceremony of the correspondent member certificate. Also, an official notification signed by the President of the German Archaeological Institute Professor, Dr. Friederike Fless about the election of Farhad Guliyev as a corresponding member was attached to the letter.

It should be noted that so far 2315 corresponding members of the prestigious the German Archaeological Institute are well-known archaeologists representing different countries. For the first time, an Azerbaijani archaeologist was awarded this scientific name.
