Farhad Guliyev Delivered a Presentation on The Islamic Heritage of Karabakh in the Context of Recent Archaeological Research in Azerbaijan” in Tashkent
Dr. Farhad Guliyev, PhD in History, Associate Professor, and Director of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), participated in an international congress organized by the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan—a cultural initiative established by the President of Uzbekistan. The event took place in Tashkent from November 12–16.
At the 2nd Forum of Central Asian Historians, held under the theme “Shared Past and Shared Future”, Dr. Guliyev delivered a presentation titled:
“The Islamic Heritage of Karabakh in the Context of Recent Archaeological Research in Azerbaijan.”
As part of the visit, preliminary discussions were also held between the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan (operating under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan) and the ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology regarding potential joint cooperation.
It is worth noting that on November 15, Dr. Guliyev was a member of the ANAS delegation that participated in the ceremonial award ceremony of the “Heritage of the Future” International Prize held in Tashkent.
