Meeting Held on the Topic “Prehistoric Azerbaijan”
On February 22, a meeting titled “Prehistoric Azerbaijan” was held, organized by the Archeology Azerbaijan Civic Initiative Group with the support of the Public Union for the Support of Ethnographic Research.
The guest speaker of the event was Dr. Azad Zeynalov, PhD in History, Associate Professor, and archaeologist at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
During the meeting, an extensive presentation was delivered on archaeological research concerning the prehistoric periods of Azerbaijan, ancient human settlements, material cultural remains, and the results of ongoing scientific investigations. The speaker provided detailed information on the characteristics of the primitive communal system, early tools of labor, and the formation of the region’s ancient cultures.
The event was attended by young people interested in archaeology, university students, as well as faculty members and students of Western Caspian University.
The seminar was organized in an interactive format, allowing participants to pose questions and actively engage in discussions. The meeting was met with significant interest by the audience.
At the conclusion of the event, participants exchanged views on the continued organization of similar scientific and educational meetings in the future and on expanding cooperation.
The Archeology Azerbaijan Civic Initiative Group and the Public Union for the Support of Ethnographic Research continue their activities aimed at preserving national cultural heritage and promoting archaeological knowledge.
