Scientific Seminar Held on Recent Research at Medieval Monuments
A series of continuing seminars for undergraduate and graduate students was organized jointly by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and the Faculty of Social Management, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management. At the seminars, Institute researcher Vusala Beydullazade delivered a presentation on recent archaeological research conducted at medieval monuments in Azerbaijan.
Participants received detailed information about the results of excavations and investigations carried out in 2024–2025 in the cities of Kharaba Gilan and Shamkir. The seminar explained the materials recovered from the excavations, research methodologies applied to the finds, and their significance for Azerbaijani archaeology.
The primary goal of the event was to strengthen the practical knowledge of students and graduate researchers, introduce them to current developments in archaeology, and stimulate their interest in scientific work.
The seminar was also attended by Ilham Madatov, PhD in History, Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management.
