On June 4–5, 2025, the First Republic Forum of Young Ethnographers titled “Community, Culture, and Scientific Cooperation” was held with the joint organization of the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture and the Quba Genocide Memorial Complex, and with the support of the Quba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.

Employees of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS also participated in the forum.

Among them, PhD in History, Associate Professor Tukezban Aliyeva and Senior Researcher Terane Babayeva delivered a presentation titled “The Role of Archaeologist Qahraman Agayev in the Study of Archaeological Sites in the Northeastern Region of Azerbaijan”; Senior Researcher Fidan Khalafova Aliyeva presented “Examples of Plastic Art  Discovered at Early Bronze Age Sites in Northeastern Azerbaijan (Based on Materials from Chaggallytepe and Serkertepe)”; Researcher Peri Agayeva presented “On the Tajly Nene Shrine in the Shabran District”; Senior Researcher Lola Huseynova and PhD in History, Leading Researcher Ilhama Sadigova presented “The Unpublished Excavations Conducted by Davud bey Sharifov in 1928 in Chovdar (Late Bronze – Early Iron Age)”; Senior Researcher Arzu Abdullayeva presented “Stone Cist Graves of the Late Bronze – Early Iron Age in Azerbaijan”; and Senior Laboratory Assistant Nigar Azizova presented “Characteristics of Sociolinguistic Research Conducted in Azerbaijan by Foreign Researchers.”

All presentations were met with great interest by the participants, and at the end of the event, the Institute’s staff members were awarded certificates.
