Richly illustrated, the book features new research on lost civilizations, early religious beliefs, and ancient architecture, which were presented at an international congress held in Portugal.
The author of Chapter 12 is Dr. Parviz Gasımov (Gasymov), a senior researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. In his chapter, Dr. Gasımov analyzes the Topdağdağan (Topdaghdaghan) tumuli in the Tovuz region and highlights structural similarities between these burial mounds from the late Middle Bronze Age and early Iron Age with those of the Srubnaya culture in Eurasia, early Scythians in the Southern Urals, and early Saka culture in Central Asia. He also discusses the scientific challenge of identifying the sources of these analogies.
The book is published in English and is intended for universities, research institutions, and specialized libraries worldwide.
